Kenny Slater

Kenny Slater is an active duty U.S. military member with 15 years of information technology and cybersecurity experience. He is currently filling the role of Cybersecurity Officer In Charge for a Regional Cyber Center that operates in multiple countries. His experience includes multiple years in Army Special Operations ensuring the confidentiality and reliability of information at both the tactical and strategic level. Kenny has also served as a DISA certified senior cyber network auditor ensuring NIST, DOD, and best practice compliance for over 100,000 users. At the time, Kenny was the only active duty military member to fill that role in the entire DOD. Additionally Kenny has experience in Defensive Cyberspace Operations and the spew of tools that come along with it. He currently holds close to 20 active information technology and cybersecurity certifications to include CISSP, seven GIAC certifications, multiple CompTIA, Cisco, and more. Kenny is passionate about continuously learning in the ever changing cyber world and passing that knowledge to those who come after him.

John Lopez

John Lopez, a Cybersecurity expert with over 10 years of experience & Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems in Cyber Security; GCIH, C|EH, Sec+. Works as a Cyber Defense Engineer at Agile Defense. Lopez has Deployed Multiple times in multiple positions during his continuing service in the Army as a Leader/Mentor for projects & teams trained in the following duties: Cyber Operations Technician (170A), Combat Medic, Military Police and Infantryman. Lopez is still serving as a Warrant Officer in the Cyber Field (170A) in a Cyber Protection Team. Lopez also worked as a valued member of the NNSA for many years, working on setup/tuning security tools & systems to ensure we meet the risk and compliance controls. Also, serve as representative to internal audit, external auditors and regulatory examiners on behalf of the area as well involved with the internal control environment for multiple classified networks.

Paul Morgan

Paul Morgan is a cybersecurity professional in the utilities industry and an evangelist for cybersecurity continuing education. Paul’s personal education path includes The CompTIA trifecta, ITIL, ECIH, CCSP, and CISSP certifications and a Bachelors in Cybersecurity. He will graduate with a Masters in Cybersecurity in 2022. Paul began his career in the U.S. Army working on the IT help desk. After 8 years of service Paul transitioned to private industry and to a focus on cybersecurity engineering. He currently works in critical infrastructure as an internal cybersecurity consultant for Pacific Gas & Electric. Paul’s long-term goal is to increase innovation and stability in cybersecurity by reducing the barriers to entry and raising the education ceiling for cybersecurity professionals.
